During the winter time it can be extremely depressing while your friends are in Hawaii and you are still slaving
away at work. But why not bring the beach and your favorite tropical island to your home with palm tree
bedding?
Now don't get me wrong, just bedding alone isn't going to do miracles but every little bit helps. Palm tree
bedding can meld in to a variety of bedding and furniture designs. You may want to lighten up the walls, add soft
lamp shades and curtains, and for those who really want to go all out, buy an inflatable palm tree to droop over
their bed.
Whether you are looking for palms from the Bahamas or Hawaii, you don't have a huge selection to choose from. A
local store most likely won't have this style of comforter sets. I've found a few places on Amazon, Nextag, and
Home Decorating Company that offer palm tree bedding but you will need to pay attention to the shipping prices. Let
me show you a few of our reviews to give you an idea of what's available:
Tapestry Palm Tree Comforter Set: This is a bed in a bag set that you should definitely
be aware of. The price is usually around $49.99 and that should set off the warning bells right away. The
majority of fabric used is polyester and a maximum of 45% cotton. I don't have a thread count for you but this
is prone to "picking' which means the threads will start popping up in random places. The comforter is very
slippery and you will find it a challenge to keep it over your body. The picture you see is quite different
from the actual product. When it arrives in the mail you will see that it is many shades darker. I wouldn't
recommend this for everyday use, but it might be suitable for a guest room that is used for show. Thankfully it
doesn't cost a fortune.
Tropical Palm Tree Quilt: This is a great quilt for $129.99. It is made from 100% cotton
on the inside and outside. The pattern can liven up a room but the detail of the leaves is very comical and
picturesque. It comes with matching pillow shams. If you like the pattern, thankfully, you don't need to worry
about the quality on this one. the only potential problem is the that the lighter colors can pick up dirt much
easier.
Kona Comforter Set: This must be manufactured by the same company as the Tapestry palm
tree comforter set. However, the main difference is that the fabric here is of heavy weight and better quality.
The actual comforter in person is much darker than the picture shown. I don't know why companies do this
because it just increases their product returns. The pillow shams work really well with this set. For $149.99
it is one of the better choices out there when it comes to palm tree bedding.
Tropical Print Palm Green and Blue Bedding Set: This duvet cover bedding set is made
from a 300 count thread. This definitely shows the effort they took in to making it. The only thing I have to
disapprove of is the blue flowers. I wasn't aware that palm trees had blue flowers and it doesn't work with my
bedroom ideas. It's only $79.99 and made from mercerized cotton. The downside is that you will need a duvet to
fit in this set or a comforter because it doesn't come with one, hence "duvet cover." It comes with matching
pillow shams which are also made with a 300 thread count. So you can be sure that it is soft against your
skin.
This is basically the brunt of the palm tree bedding available unless you are looking for an authentic palm
tree bed, otherwise known as a hammock. There are other tropical bedding sets out there that may work with your
bedroom theme. So if you aren't satisfied with these selections, you should check out the tropical ones.
